Music has always been in M4NG03’s life. Whether he’s listening to rock music blasting from a speaker, appreciating the magic of orchestrated film scoring, or creating and producing songs from little ideas, M4NG03 knows how to be a listener and a performer, transforming his daydreams into works of art.

BIO: Maung-Gyi Akamatsu, better known as M4NG03, is a multi-talented New York musician with styles ranging from deep, lyrical lo-fi beats like “With You” and “Roses in the Sky” to lighthearted comedy in “CoROnA tImE”, fusing the styles of Joji, Rex Orange County, and the Strokes. The unique songwriting, subtle beats, and various facets of music of M4NG03’s favorite artists inspired M4NG03 to express emotions, experiences, and visions through music.

His young beginnings as a sax and piano player pulled him into bands, digital music production, and expressing emotions, experiences, and dreams through crafted lyrics and beats. Using the resources he had, M4NG03 independently wrote and produced hundreds of songs on Garageband, releasing the best of them on his debut album “m4ns is sad.”

M4NG03’s experience is growing by the day, and he strives to work with professional producers and artists to manifest his vision into reality.
